Safety tips for keeping children w/group

The reason why I used the blushing icon is I don't really know how to start this post with out coming across like a freak. One of my mommy issues is a stranger abduction. I realize that it is more likely that my kids will be distracted by the uber amount of shinny things and then start following a different pair of legs as we are walking. But does anyone have some tips for keeping the kids with the group and me relaxed?
I have heard about everyone wearing the same shirts, but I am very open to other ideas. I know they don't want people wearing bags like backpacks and fanny packs on the rides, but what about a vest with pockets? That way we wouldn't necessarily be in the same shirts but look enough alike for the kids to easily find me if they look away.
My family will be DH and I, a 7, 5, 2.5 year old and 7 month old and we are going in February. There will be many other family members going but we won't always be together.
What we do now if we are in a very busy place is I have long straps that hang off my baby back pack carrier (we call them duck straps because we look like a family of ducks walking) but I don't think that will work well in DW.

I've also taught her that if she gets lost to look for a mommy with kids, tell her she's lost and that her mommy's phone number is in her bracelet. I also told her to stay where she is, don't move and to yell for me as loud as she can.

Hi Liza. I think we all share this concern.

The ID bracelets are a great idea.
One tip I found extremely helpful, especially with younger kids - assign each child to a specific family member.
