Should I book now or wait?

My family is planning to go DW June 2nd through 8th. We already know that we plan to stay in a value resort and have already booked Mickeys Back Yard BarBQ. As of right now there aren't any discounts out there for the whole vacation package. What do you all think? Should we book now or hold out for a discount? We also have the Disney Visa and when we went 2 years ago we got a pretty good deal through them but we went in July.

Thanks

I would book now. That might be during a Star Wars weekend/event thing.

Plus some kids are already out of school so the crowd level might be picking up.

Good Luck and have fun!

If you know you're going, know when and where, then I would book now.

I'd book now and then if a discount comes out, you can always apply it. If you have AAA, at least you could get the AAA rate.

I booked for May already, with the AAA rate, but in hopes that something better will come along.

Just my 2c.

OH!!! I didn't realize that if a better deal came along that they would honor it on trips already booked! So really, there is no reason not to book if our plans are firm, correct?

Thanks everyone!

I guess I should have added this too. My understanding is that a room needs to be available at the discounted rate too. They only offer so many rooms at a discount. Even if you've already booked, they will have to find a discounted room at your resort to give you. Worst case scenario is you might have to change resorts. According to my AAA agent, it most likely will not be a problem, but she did give me the heads up just incase.

Sonya, please correct me if this is misinformation...Thanks!

That is correct.

I'd book now to be sure of getting a room at the resort you want, and then if a discount comes out, call back and have it applied to your reservation; just make sure call as soon as it's available, you should be fine. I've done that twice without issue.

Rooms will start to fill up, and you may not get the resort of your choice. Have you picked a resort yet? We're staying at Pop from May 25-June 2, and we've stayed at ASMovies in the past and we really enjoyed it.

Just wanted to make sure you got that you will have to call with the code and ask them to apply it to your ressie, they won't do it automatically.

I'm not holding my breath for a discount for our late May trip, but I'd even be thrilled with the free hopping and waterpark option that DH got for his Feb trip!

I'm thinking that we will probably stay at POP, we stayed at Movies the last time we went and had nice stay but one of the CM recommended that we stay at POP in the future because they have their own shuttle. We really don't care though, just as long as it's on site and cheap!!! We're NEVER in our room.
