Should we even consider this?

Hi,
We have 3 children, 6,3 and 4mo. We would like to plan a Disney vacation for October. The baby will be 8mo then. Is it worth it with a baby? We are thinking about asking my MIL to come with us, to help with the baby.
Also, what would be good places to see, with small childern?
Thanks,
Shelly

I left me infant with my mom and dad last trip to WDW. I personally would not bring a child under 3.

i think it's just fine, as long as the baby is kind of easy-going. if the baby will nap in the stroller, you'll be fine. and if you brought your mil with you too, that would be great! she could sit w/ the baby while you and dh are on a ride w/ the 2 other kids.
it's always a hard decision when to go... we went when mine were 3½yo and 21 months, and we enjoyed it so much we've gone once or twice a year since then (they're now 6½yo and almost 5yo).
i would just go... how bad could it be? babies get fussy and cry at home in the livingroom, in the mall, at grandma's, so why not be at disney anyway?
and your 6yo is going to be out of that 'i believe in magic' stage pretty soon (or will at least start getting skeptical or embarassed by stuff)... each age of the kids brings it's own magic. when they're older, they can ride every ride; but when they're young, the look on their faces when they see a favorite character or the castle or just really enjoy a wonderful ride is just priceless!
just go and take it slow and easy, don't expect to see/do everything, and research and plan ahead a lot to get the most out of your trip. the pre-planning is really key to a relaxed vacation.
let us know what you decide to do! Liz :)
We are going in September with my 3DS 7, 4 and 9 months. My 9 month old is really easy going, so I don't expect any lip from him, it will be the other 2. LOL!
We plan on taking advantage of early EMH, breaking mid day and returning to the late EMH parks when it is cooler at night.
We tried to convince MIL to come, but she declined. Oh well, we will survive. My mom is having knee surgery so she is out as a helper.
We figure with baby swap and fast pass we will be able to get on and off rides pretty fast.
I would say go for it!

We went when my dd was 11 months old and my ds was almost 4. My dd did just fine!! She wasn't walking yet, and was very content to sit or lie back in her stroller! I couldn't imagine leaving a child home while the rest of the family vacationed. I just wouldn't feel right. I think you'll do just fine!

We're going in August when Paige is 4 1/2 months.
My opinion would be go now or wait two years. Think about your other two, if this was true...my experience is that I'd rather travel with a 8 mo old than an 18 mo old. Before a year they are pretty content to be held or sit with a cracker and watch all the action. When they get mobile they don't always want to sit in the stroller and they want to do everything. They're more aware when they get swapped that they are being left out of a ride or they don't understand about waiting in lines.
As was pointed out, if you wait 2 years you're 6yo will miss out on that magic, believing the princesses are real (even if she knows they really aren't). I'd say yes, the trip will be worth it.
Also, there are a few play areas for little ones to crawl around. I'm trying to remember, they are designed for toddlers but I think a crawling one would be fine. There's pooh's spot in Fantasyland at MK and another area in Toontown at MK. And there are baby care centers in the park if you are nursing or just need to let the little one get away from the stimulation for awhile.

There's another play area by Splash Mt.
