And I absolutely love it !!
I work on the left block of Disney's MGM Studios. For those of you that aren't familiar with the area, it's the first row of shops as you enter the park. I am actually trained to work in ANY merchandising area of any of the parks, which is great. My main *home* if you will, is Mickey's of Hollywood, but I also work in the little shop just before you enter the park on the left, Sid's, Mickey's of Hollywood, Keystone and the 3 carts (1 outside the park and the 2 under the Sorcerer's Hat).
Training went great, and I learned alot and tonight is my first night working without a trainer behind me. Should be okay, I pretty much have all the stuff figured out and everyone is so nice, I'm sure if I have any questions, someone will help me.
So..who's going to be the first to come say HI to me?? LOL
Tonight I get to bid on a store and a schedule because I am full-time, but because I am so new, I will get what is left. which is fine, because right now the night shift is better for me. But once school starts again in August, I'm going to see if I can get mainly the days or mid-shift. We shall see.
Lisa

Wow, how exciting would that be!
congratulations!
You will have to post your schedules when you get them!
I'll do our best to find you when we go in August. Right now we are scheduled to be at MGM on Aug19 for the full day, and possibly the morning of the 21.
~Elena (Paid in full as of last night!)
Lisa,
DH and DS and I will be there in 30-something days. I'm SO excited!! Right now the plan is to be at MGM on our second full day there...let me see that would be Thursday, August 9th. We'll come in and say hi, so we'll need your schedule!! :)
MGM is actually one of the parks I'm having most trouble planning for, not knowing the exact times of many of the shows, and not having "lands" to plan around...it all seems a lot more "fluid", you know what I mean? One thing I know for sure is it'll be fun browsing the shops there (or at least it was the last time I was there in 2000!)
So are you going to tell us what all the "special Disney benefits" are, so we can all start drooling? :)
Hijacking thread to ask if you've ever looked at Steve Soares's site? He lists the times for the shows weekly and, to tell you the truth, there shouldn't be that much change between now & Aug 9 on the shows at MGM.
You can find the link to his site on my page... http://alygatordisney.tripod.com/index.html#ent

Thanks, Alysha! I'd seen the site before and bookmarked it...but wasn't sure how much the times would change...and I also hadn't looked at it in much detail to be honest...except for the Epcot part. I don't know why I"m just not into the MGM planning!
Do you (or does anyone else) have a "preferred" itinerary for touring MGM?? (And sorry again Lisa for getting away with this in your thread!)
