Are there any online Souvenirs shops where I can browse and price check that are anywhere close to onsite prices?

You can check out laughingplacestore (dot com) as they have park merchandise but they have a HIGH markup so it's tought to tell what the true park price is.

I just learned of a shop in DTD called Mickey's Mart (or something like that). Everything is under $10. They have all kind of stuff there, and even have mystery grab bags. We'll be checking this place out when we go in May.

Hi,

We give the kids each $15 per day in Disney Dollars, they can spend it on whatever they want. If they want something that costs more, they save for a couple of days, and by then, they REALLY KNOW if they want it. :)

Our kids are 8 and 5. I usually buy them each a couple of pins, and any snacks are paid for by the adults.

This way we know ahead of time how much $ we will spend. Well, as much as you can. DH and I usually buy a minimal amout of souveniers.

Good luck with your planning.

We're giving each kid a $25 Disney gift card for the entire week. We'll hit Mickey's Mart where everything is $10 or less and the oldest usually just wants a shirt. DH and I won't buy anything.

I clearanced shopped at the Disney Store everytime saw a great deal on something for months before our trip. My children 9,8,6, 2 and 1 never knew what I had bought so it was a real treat for them when I would randomly hand out stuff to them when we were in the park. This really took the edge off of my children wanting to buy things. Things that I had purchased ahead of time included:
Clearanced base-ball hats
hand held fans that lit up
lighted spin toys that they sell in the parks
t-shirts of their favorite characters
One of the best things I did was shop online at disney shopping dot com and bought beach towels of each child's favorite character for our day at Typhoon Lagoon. I even found cool princess and pooh stuff in the dollar spot at Target. Almost every day I had something fun for each child.

I still bought a couple of trading pins for each of them for their collections but shopping ahead of time worked great for us on our trip and it saved us so much money.

I'm doing that too. I've gotten Star Wars shirts for the boys(we're goping for Star Wars Weekends) and have started picking up things when I see them for a good price. I'm still doing the $25 cards(I get them at school and a percentage goes back to our tuition) for each but this way they'll be able to get more fun stuff.
