Special Auto Club parking?
| Mon, 07-09-2007 - 7:05pm |
I don't remember where I read this (probably on one of the web sites, but which one?), that members of AAA who buy their tickets through the auto club receive a special parking permit that allows them to park in specially marked "diamond parking spots" at the parks. Anyone know about this?
TIA AGAIN!

I don't think you have to buy your tickets through them. I think you can just ask for a pass if you have an account with them. ETA: They've changed the criteria since I last looked into it...sorry. You do have to buy something with them (certain packages or tickets).
I *think* it's only at MK. (They are available at all 4 parks--the following info is only MK.) I know the spots are right behind the handicapped. However, if you're going at a busy time, it's so few spots that they fill up fast and if you're going at a slow time, you can often get a better spot WITHOUT the pass (just because they are right behind handicapped doesn't mean they are the closest spots--the handicapped & AAA Diamond lots are to the right as you enter, with regular parking in the center and to the left).
You pay for parking as usual, but show them the pass, and they show you which attendant will show you the way if there are any available.
