We stayed the DTD Hilton one year. It was very nice!
We took our youngest when she was 7 months old. No problem at all! Definitely bring a comfy stroller. The ones you can rent at the parks are much too big for a baby. I had a baby carrier/sling, and I used it an awful lot.
I took our little one on most rides that year, with the exceptions of coasters and rides with height restrictions. She really enjoyed herself. Being the 4th child, Audrey was able to fall asleep anywhere, even during shows or rides! It was nice and easy for me.
The baby care centers in each park are hugely helpful. One day our baby bag was accidentally left at the hotel, and I bought new supplies at the MK center. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices, choices, and the wonderful staff.
Have a wonderful trip!

We took our 4 mo. old dd a few summers ago. We had a great time! I brought her stroller, as well as a baby bjorn carrier which really came in handy in the rain! We had a stroller rain cover--but it frightened her, so I just plopped her in the carrier and tore my poncho a little so it fit over the two of us! I'd definitely plan to stop at the baby care center every 1-2 hours. We'd wipe her down (we were there in July), change her, feed her and give her a little break from all of the action and sun! Be sure to check with your dr. to see if s/he is old enough to use sunscreen (our dr. gave us the go ahead) and we also were sure to provide plenty of cover for her ( a light blanket to drape over her legs that dangled in the sun, hats, the stroller sun cover, etc.) as well as lots to drink!
As far as the rides/ shows went, we did just about everything that wasn't too fast/ rough. She slept through a lot of the rides, but loved some of them....like Winnie the Pooh and It's A Small World! She was fine through the shows, too. I'm sure we took her on the pirates, as well as the Safari...
Another plus was that the characters at the character meals LOVED babies...They spent tons more time at our table fussing over her than they did when we had previously taken our 2 yr. old ds!
Not sure if you'll have a car or will be relying on other transportation--but we had driven down (too much baby stuff to carry on the plane!) and were thankful that we had our car! It made for quick exits from parks when she unexpectedly became fussy. I can't imagine waiting for the Disney transportation with a baby having a meltdown! Also, the comfort of her carseat, the airconditioning, and movement of the car quickly put her to sleep!
Although dh & I have been to Disney too many times to remember we will be going as parents for the first time in 2 weeks! My girls will be about to turn 18 months and my little one will turn 6 months while we are there. I have heard the baby stations are a must. We are staying at the Swan. I will let you all know how it goes when we get back!
wow! we are going to DW in 2 wks, w/ a 2.5yr old and a will-be-by-then 8 month old. i was sure we wouldn't be able to bring the baby on anything, but i am sooo glad to see these posts!! do you mean you can take infants on pooh, peter pan, dumbo, small world etc??? this will make a world of difference?!? i am ssssooooo excited to go!!
i hear ya. dh and i are both dying to go on everest too! last time we were there 3 yrs ago (my only time there ever) i was 6mos preg at the time and couldn't go on any of the real rides, couldn't even do the AK safari.. and they were just building everest which looked awesome even then. it will suck that dh and i can't go on it together..but what can you do!
