The title says it all! I can't decide what we want to do more.....Since I am of course restricted due to my work schedule, we can't travel during any other time. Which time is better and why do you feel this way? :) Of course since it is a shorter trip we will be flying which in itself will be an experience.......

If you have the ability to go the first week in December versus Thanksgiving time or even just before, the crowds are much easier to handle.

Of course, now with the Pop Warner, you will need to plan around that.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Natalie.

Yes it does help. It is nice to hear what others have experienced. I think it will be easier to experience it than Christmas. We wouldn't leave until either right before Christmas or right after. I think traveling during November would appeal more in many ways............Well, now I just have to do some serious number crunching.......We haven't paid for airlines before. I am not sure I want to now! Five people adds up!

I just returned from a Thanksgiving Disney trip. I have never been there over Christmas, but if it's more crowded than Thanksgiving, you'd be CRAZY to go then. The MK was completely PACKED for our trip, and it really is no fun under those circumstances, imo. By the Sat following Thanx, the crowds had dwindled somewhat. I would aim to go the week after Thanx if I were you. If the decorations are important to you, they will be up by then.

That would be an ideal time to go, but I am a teacher therefore school holidays have to be used when I travel. We are yearly travellers though so it would be more of a touring decorations trip than a touring the holiday trip if you kwim.....

I just got back yesterday and I definitely recommend Christmas. Even if the decorations are up it's just not Christmas yet until you've stuffed yourself with turkey and roll yourself into the month of December. The Very Merry Christmas Party was great too.
