I know you said the floridain but why don't you think aobut the fort wilderness cabins? we stayed years ago and the new ones are suppose to be even better you would love the camp. littlebitt
I've been twice in the summer and 4 times in EARLY December, and I would personally choose to go the week before Christmas than in the summer again. The crowds the week before Christmas will probably be about the same as what you saw at the fourth of July. I would try to be out of there before Christmas Eve though.
But, then again, we also get out Dec 16, so maybe everybody is thinking the same thing..lol.
So, if you're dealing with crowds either way, the difference in temperature and humidity will make a HUGE difference in the levels of crankiness!!!!
Epcot stays open until 9:30 every night in December. I think Fantasmic runs every night and MGM is open until 8pm every night. MK closes between 6 & 8. AK will close around 5, but that's because it gets dark so early.
Yes, either way we do it, it will be crowds....Considering I'm trying to arrange it to make sure we check-in during "value" season considering even then it's an arm & leg (and since my luck with discounts are basically Nill, I will assume we are paying full price, etc...).
Considering I'm picturing wall to wall people I'm just not sure but then again, I went around 4th of July and survived.
Camping at one of the cabins is really not camping its like a littlecottage that sleeps 6 so the expense is cut down it still has the luxury of disney littlebitt
I agree with you about the cabins but DH said after staying at the Contempory that he would like to stay at "The place that had the red roofs" (which was the Grand Floridian that we could see out our window, so he was able to see the resort).
Are you talking THIS year????? You'd better get busy if you are girl!
I'd love, love, love to go at Christmastime. Even if it's packed, that's better than 258° and packed (please refer to my trip report for explanation of the 258° thing, lol) and the Christmas decorations would be just beautiful, I know.
I have no clue about the crowds, I've read that the week before Christmas starts to get crowded, then the Christmas/New Years' week is the worst of the year.

The Grand Floridian is DH's choice, so that is why I will go with that one.
I wouldn't mind trying the camp at some point but not next time.
