Traveling with baby questions

Hi everyone! I am an annual passholder to Disney for 8 years (I live in Tampa) so I'm very familiar with the parks, but this February will be my first time traveling with my first baby (who will be three months). I will be going with my husband, mom and stepdad, so will have lots of help, but does anyone have any advice for me? We are staying at POP for three days. How would you feel about such a young baby on the busses? Safe or no? I'm not thrilled with the idea, but my mom says it will be fine. Thoughts?

Congratulations on your upcoming trip! How nice to have an annual pass - I can't imagine.

The youngest I've taken a child is 10 months, but it was fine. No troubles at all! My suggestions would be to know ahead of time where the baby care centers are in each park. They are WONDERFUL. If you forget anything, there are plenty of baby items for purchase, and not terribly expensive. There are nursing rooms, changing rooms, and other lovely amenities. My other suggestion would be to bring a sling or baby carrier if your little one likes to be held this way. I had a hip carrier for my youngest when she was 10 months, and it was wonderful. I also had a stroller.....it was good to have the option of carrier or stroller. DO NOT rent the park strollers. They are not good at all for an infant.

I was nursing when I took my baby, and I had no trouble finding out-of-the-way spots to feed her. However, she was used to noise and craziness (being the youngest of 4), and I nursed her on the bus, on rides, and during shows......and I'm positive nobody even noticed (I was wearing loose tops and just kind of put her underneath with a blanket casually covering....it looked like she was sleeping, I'm sure). It's easy to blend in. If you bottle feed, the baby care centers will be GREAT for preparation, cleaning a bottle, etc. Nicer than a bathroom for sure.

As long as you get a seat on a bus, you'll be fine. Most of the time, seats are offered to women with babies......but I guess you never know.

We went to Disney in early December with our 3 month DS. He did great on the transportation without a car seat. We held him (never had to stand up) and saw lots of other parents doing the same. We brought his stroller with us everywhere. We put him in the stroller without his carseat and he really enjoyed seeing everything (instead of the sky if he was in the car seat). The only problem we had was when we got home and getting him back to his normal routine. It was impossible to leave the park at his bedtime and miss fireworks and other stuff (no one in my group of nine wanted to leave). Make sure to hit the baby centers. They are usually near the front of the parks and having changing tables, nursing rooms, microwaves, etc. The Animal Kingdom was my favorite. They also sell items if you need them. Let me know if you have any other questions. It's easier than you think.

One more note, I stayed at the Pop and the crib provided was ok. Ask for a First Timers pin when you check in. It's a great keepsake for your baby.
