Urgh! I can't plan this! STRESSED OUT!

The planning of this is so stressful. I'm frazzled and my mind is now mush. I've read about 10 different WDW planning books. I've got a notebook with all the notes I want to keep in mind. All of you have been so helpful but... I can't make up my mind!

I know my next step is deciding the days for which park so I can make my ADR. The time is ticking as I understand it's crucial to get those ADR in soon to get what I want. If we could of sprung for the park hopper I would of but it's just not in the budget. I already went beyond it.

For those that don't know I've already made the reservations for Sept 30-Oct 5th. I got the 5 day pak pass and the free dining plan. My kids are 4 and 7. We are staying at All-star Sports. I was only going to get the 4 day park pass but it was only a mere $12 more for the entire family if I went up a day. How could I pass that up?! LOL! Maybe that's too many parks in too short of time?

The only things I am sure of (amazing that I am sure of anything at this point) is that I want to take in the Hoop de doo dinner show. And that I wish to do the crystal palace char meal so Henry can meet Piglet. Then one other char meal too but unsure which one. Not a princess as dd is not into them. (I know, what little girl doesn't like the princesses?! She's an oddball-that's ok ;) I feel like I should work in some down time to swim at the resort pool and visit DT Disney too. Just how am I going to plan this?

I'm overwhelmed and can't do it. Anyone want to take this over for me? I would say that I'm just kidding but I'm not. I thought this was supposed to be the fun part, getting to plan.

Help! ~Laura

Hey Laura...

First of all... have fun in Cincy and at the Newport Aquarium... I took Joey there a couple of years ago when we were passing through the area on our way to MI and he really enjoyed it, even though he was just an almost two year old at the time... it was fun for us... we didn't do the children's museum there or the zoo... so let me know how those are... I have family there, so a trip up there is always possible...

Now to Disney... if I'm thinking correctly, the Dinosaur place at Disney and Donald's breakfast are one in the same... if your kids don't know who they are, its OK... Mickey and Donald and Goofy and perhaps another character make the rounds... this was our first breakfast on our first morning in the parks and we loved it! Plus it had a bit of a boy theme to it, in amongst all the princess-y girl things there... now, Joey does have a thing for Cinderella... so one of our meals is at CRT, but I didn't know it until we visited last year!

You mentioned TS at Epcot is out... but a couple ~may~ work for you... LeCellier is a great steakhouse in Canada... and Coral Reef is a really yummy seafood place in the Living Seas area... one whole wall is an Aquarium that Joey just got lost in while Mom and I enjoyed probably the most relaxed meal of our trip... and they just changed the amount of TS credits at Coral Reef from 2 to 1 so its "cheaper" now... of course, do what is right for you and your dietary restrictions... but not all of the food at Epcot is exotic... some of it is just darn good!

As far as Joey and the crowds went... well, there really weren't any crowds... and not too many lines. The worst line we waited in while we were there last year (mid Sept) was 30 minutes for Dumbo, which does not have the fastpass option... by using the fastpass, we were able to get into most things with little wait... sometimes no wait at all... we were going to grab a fastpass for the Safari in AK and were told to just walk in, there wasn't any line... we rode Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin 10-15 times in a row, just getting off and back on...

When we did have a wait though, it was a good chance to reinforce things like letting everyone have their turn and being patient (two things Joey can still struggle with at times)... most of the lines move fairly often, so it feels like progress is being made, which may make it easier in their little minds... (I know it does in mind)... as for the crowds, they weren't that bad while we were there, but large enough that I could reinforce the hold my hand so you don't get lost and walk with us so you don't get lost ideas... he had lots of fun and I only remember two meltdowns... one at AK when he was hot and tired and needed to go back to the hotel to cool down and the other one day at Epcot when he was fighting sleep and decided that a meltdown would help that cause...

It was funny though, the morning we left, we had had such a fabulous time that I didn't want to leave any more than he did and I just started crying... (nice strong mom moment there)... and so JoeyBear said, it's OK Mommy, you don't have to cry, we can come back again! So sweet, you know it made me cry more!

I just can't tell you how nice it is to see you again!

*hugs*

Laura,

Not sure how willing you are to go to this length, but you can make special dietary requests at the sit-down restaurants. I've never had to do this, so I can't give you any first-hand knowledge about it, but there is a section on AllEars: http://allearsnet.com/din/special.htm
