Visiting MGM

I was looking at the map for MGM. The park looks like it is mainly shows. Is this correct? We have an ADR for the Fantasmic - Hollywood & Vine Dinner. I was thinking we may just do this park a few hours before our dinner. I have been to Universal in LA. How much different is this park? Doesn't look to me like I should use up an entire day at this park. We're not into riding roller coasters so Tower of Terror and the Rock N Roll coaster are out for us.

What are the must sees in this park?

Our must sees in MGM are: Beauty and the Beast (I have to bring kleenex), Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney. I have a 3 and 1 year old, so our interests are definitely not the same as they used to be.

Definately Beauty and the Beast. We just got back yesterday. Also Muppets 3-D was great. My neice and nephew are 4 and 6 and they loved it.

We went to MGM last Wednesday. I would say to not miss Beauty and the Beast and the Muppets 3-D. Both were very good. My son, age 7, loved Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster, but I don't ride those kinds of rides! We didn't get to do the Little Mermaid or Playhouse Disney due to my friend's daughter who was "showed out". I loved MGM, but I don't think many youngers like it because it is mostly shows.

Have fun!

Other than Fantasmic, which you have covered (I can't believe it when people visit WDW and do not see Fantasmic!!!!):

We enjoy Beauty and the Beast, Muppet Vision, One Man's Dream (I'm amazed by Walt), and the Playhouse Disney show for my little one. By far though, we most enjoyed Who Wants to be a Millionare this past trip. It was very cool! We love the thrill rides, too.

We do not like Sounds Dangerous, The Great Movie Ride, The Backlot tour, or the parade. My family is in agreement that we aren't going to spend any time on these after one try because they were boring for us.

We didn't make the stunt show last year, but my husband and son thought it looked pretty cool, so we'll be sure to catch it next time.

We visit during the holiday season, which makes MGM a different kind of place. The Osbourne lights are amazing!

In addition to Fantasmic, the "musts" for my boys, ages 7 and 11, are Star Tours, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Muppets 3-D, the new car stunt show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (my 11 year old particularly likes this one!)

For me, the "musts" are Beauty and the Beast (sniff sniff!), Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster.

We've done the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney when the kids were younger, and they liked them then.

We also enjoy eating at the Sci Fi...but the Primetime is on our list for next trip!
