I think it sounds good!
I think you did a great job of scheduling down time.
Yes we are coming from Washington State, so the opposite corner of the country.
Were most of the attractions open during P&P.
How was the parade, entertainment, etc?
Any details you want to share would be fabulous!
The only thing that I can remember NOT being open was Tom Sawyer Island.
Saturday March 8th-
The plan is to be heading into AK at 3, possibly get a snack and find a spot for the parade.
Then I don't know what because I don't know what time the safari dinner is.
We are using Sunray Town cars not ME, but I didn't want to try to cram in anything on our travel day home that would make us cranky.
If you're leaving your resort at 3, it will be around 320-330 when you get to AK, by the time you get through the turnstiles and around the Oasis it will be 340-345 and you will potentially hit a wall of people at the end of the bridge waiting for the parade. The parade starts up and around to your left near the safari and comes down and around the Tree of Life counter clockwise passing the short distance near the safari twice. It will be in front of the Tree of Life at about 410.
All of your Safari information is supposed to be on your final reservation forms when it comes. You're supposed to meet your guide at Flights of Wonder and then you go on the last Safari of the night before the animals are sheltered so I'm going to say you'll meet pretty close to or at park closing. You won't be getting the typical Little Red has been kidnapped back story so
I figured FP for EE would be gone by then?
The FP could be gone or they could be there - it never hurts to check, it really depends on the crowd level. Also later in the day the stand by time will be shorter than morning to mid day. I've been on 2 consecutive days where one day FP was gone by 11 and the next they still had Fast Passes around 3. When you get through the Oasis and over the bridge so that you're standing at the crossroads in front of the Tree of Life look to your right where you'll be turning and there's a huge board with all of the wait times and it also lists if there are FPs left. There's usually a CM or two standing there also.
I, unfortunately, did not get to see Nemo when we were there. It was during AP preview but since my neice didn't have an AP we couldn't get AP preview tickets (I didn't want to stand around at guest services to try and get her in with us) and none of us wanted to wait the long line - the show was new and people were waiting upwards of an hour, showing up in line for the next show when one show had just started. So we didn't see Nemo. We all LOVE Festival of the Lion King, I'd highly reccomend it.
