Water park ?

Because we got the water park option free when we booked (Yay), I am trying to try to figure out where to put it in our schedule. We are going April 28-May 4. Our boys will be 5 and 2 when we travel and neither can swim yet, so we will likely only spend a few hours there and stick to the toddler/kiddie area. I hate to give up one of the mornings that I have planned at the other parks for a couple of hours at the water park, but have read that the morning is really the best time to go. What would you do? Is there a park that you feel like we could skip in the morning and still get as much accomplished? Or do you think it would be better to go to the water park in the afternoon since we won't be doing any of the slides?
Also, which park is best for little ones? DH and I went to Blizzard Beach on our honeymoon, but I paid no attention to the kiddie area.

TIA :)

I'm trying to fit them both in, and I'm having the hardest time! I'd almost rather pay for hopping and not have water parks to worry about sometimes, lol. Isn't it a tragedy to have such problems?

I really can't tell which is best for us, that's why I want to try them both. I'm thinking for our "free" Thursday, I'm going to shoot for Blizzard Beach, even though we'll arrive after opening because of our ADR at Chef Mickey's. That way, we can play mini golf next door and I think it will be a good day.

We have 8 full days and part of another day, and I can't work everything in! I don't know waht my problem is this year, it's just not coming together. Trying to fit in too much, perhaps? Never!

When are you going, again?

Wow, I'm impressed that you can squeeze both water parks in. LOL, I totally agree about paying for the hoppers, the water park just was not an option for us until they were free. Now I am stumped. We are going April 28-May 4. We will arrive early evening (2-3pm) our arrival day and head out about noon our last day. That gives us 5 full days plus the half days that we travel, though I have one half day midweek scheduled for rest (for the family, my motto is you can sleep/rest at home for free, LOL). I had originally planned to stay one more night, but DH doesn't want to.

This trip has been much more difficult to plan than last year, even though we are staying a little longer this time. It is so hard not to try to do everything! I really know it is not possible, but I can't seem to quit trying to at least schedule everything.

Do you try to stick to a touring plan? I borrowed the UG book from a friend. It is packed full of info, but I just can't see us sticking to a plan. I try to guide the boys in a general direction but oldest DS usually has his own agenda and can be quite stubborn. I can just see me telling him that "no, we can not ride Star Tours right now because the schedule says it is time to see Little Mermaid" and him having a mini meltdown :) By the way, do the readers comments in that book crack anyone else up? I especially love the readers requesting that the next plans include restroom breaks, ROFL.

Thanks for the info Jen! It's not my post, but that helps me out quite a bit, because that's what we're planning to do also!

We don't use a strict touring plan. I'm using Tour Guide Mike this year, and see how it works, but we aren't strict with it. It honestly looks similar to what we've always done, but I like it anyway. In the past, we've always had a (mental, lol) list of what we wanted to do, and a rough idea of what order would work (Dumbo first, then the rest of Fantasyland, etc). If we stray from it, it isn't the end of the world. We go until we need a break, then head back to the room. We allow restroom breaks when they're needed, no need to make a mess!

Thanks :) I thought the family raft thing looked fun but was worried about how old the kids need to be. I'm off to look at my itinerary again.
