One of the funniest photos we have is of dh & I in the (Colonial) stocks. You know, those heavy wooden thingys you stick your head and hands through while standing on a little platform? Those Colonial folks used them as public punishment for crimes, but Disney uses them for photo ops.
Do they still exist? And where in the parks are they? We'd love to have the then/now contrast LOL.
Thanks again muchly, Disney know-it-alls :D.

P.S. The only other things I remember from that trip is riding speedboats somewhere, being annoyed that It's a Small World and the Carribean attractions were closed, the Enchanted Tiki Room song LOL. Oh, and it was Donald Duck's birthday that year, so dh & I remember the song from the parade lol. Do you think Disney would give us "First-time Visitors" buttons since it's been so long?

The stocks are in Liberty Square, near the Hall of Presidents....or at least they still were 3 years ago.

In peace,

I was there in '84 too and remember the Donald Duck birthday parade!!!
Small World was open when we were there because it was one of the few rides we actually rode at Magic Kingdom! We also did the Tiki Room, the Jungle Cruise, the Country Bears, the Riverboat & Tom Sawyer Island and the Indy Speedway. No mountains (Space & Big Thunder were open) and no Haunted Mansion...and no Dumbo either (line was over 90 minutes!). We did 2 days at Epcot and did everything at least once except for Spaceship Earth.
I also remember the stockades in recent trips. I have a picture of Mike & his niece from '92 in them.
