We just found airfare last night that we could not pass up! $177/RT Nonstop on NW, via Northwest's website. Other sites didn't even show booking availabilty yet, but thru NW direct you can do it. This past June, we paid $100 more per person (x5!).

My question, has any one ever rented points from a DVC member? How easy is this to do? Do we save any $ by doing so? Also, we want to definitely do the Dining Plan, so hopefully we can do this if we rent..I have so much to research now....

Yes you can use the dining plan while renting points.

If we can get a 1 bedroom, I'm sure it would work. There are 5 of us. Our youngest I am certain will still be sleeping with us then!LOL--so a king/sleeper sofa works. I think I read that 1br has this?

As far as the full kitchen goes...I don't know. I honestly doubt I'd want to cook any time I'm there..possibly only breakfast. So does a DVC resort make any sense then if you don't plan on using the kitchen? I am new to this, so I hope I don't come across TOO ignorant :)
We really enjoyed have the dining plan this last time, although we ate entirely way too much. I did manage to lose a few lb's from walking! HA..! Just having it paid for in advance and not worrying about having to buy groceries sure sounds like a good thing to me.

We stayed at POR last time, and although it worked out fine, we would like to be in a better location-closer to EPCOT/MGM as well as MK...We would LOVE to be at Beachclub or Boardwalk.

What do you think?
Thanks so much!!

We are trying renting points for our trip this January. When I was looking around I found the closer you get to the date, the better deal you can get on points. People are desperate to get rid of points that are about the expire.

We booked already since we wanted to stay at a Grand Villa in Old Key West and they are really hard to come by (from what I've read) since they are the cheapest. We are paying 3K for a three bedroom for a 6 nights. I thought that was a fantastic price since it also comes with a

Great, thank you!! I forgot about Magical Express...I'm glad to know we could still do that as well!

I'll keep looking. I'm going to drive my husband nuts with info by the time June rolls around! :)

Thanks again,
Dina
