What age for first Disney trip?

While I'm planning for my own vacation stuff my god daughters parents mentioned they are planning a 1st disney trip, she will be 2 this summer, is that too young? What do you find the ideal age is to enjoy the park? I was thinking more around 3 but I don't know last time I was there I was 6 or so!!!I'm sure things have changed in 27yrs!!LOL!! I honestly don't even remember it, well I take that back I remember "figment" and some jumping water....funny the things you remember!!LOL!!

LOL - this is the wrong board to come to if you're expecting people to say wait longer before going to Disney!! I agree with past posts - anytime is a good time. If this is a "once in a lifetime" trip then 2 is too young...but we've had a few people on this board plan their "once in a lifetime" trip, only to come home and start planning the next one!! We took my twins when there were two and we had a great time...we've been back several times since and I've added to more DDs to the crew. Each trip brings new experiences and memories...even if they don't remember everything I will!
While a 2 year old might not remember the trip, she sure will have fun. And it is a really easy place to vacation with toddlers...there are always plenty of highchairs, baby care centers in all the parks, CLEAN changing stations in the bathrooms etc...Plus 2 and under there's no park admission and no charge at buffet meals! And while my kids have outgrown them, there are more play areas in the parks for some "out of the stroller" time!
We just went to disney in Feb for my oldest daughter's 5th birthday. All of my kids LOVED it, they were 5, 3.5 and 2.5 when we went. My fiend has been taking her kids since they were babies and they love it. I know at 2 they may not remember it, but they had a WONDERFUL time and I will never forget seeing them with such joy.
Have a good time!

Hey, you have an Aly, too! I'm surprised at how popular that spelling has been becoming in recent years!
Is that her full name or is it a nickname? My Aly is actually Alyson, which she goes by at school.
