Hi everyone. We'll be leaving for WDW on 9/18, and have a 4-day park hopper pass. Our two boys are 7 and 3. The youngest has just turned the corner on potty training (yay!) but I'm a little concerned that we'll be in line and have to get out (quickly!) if he suddenly remembers he has to go!

Anyway, I have heard the rental strollers have little or no storage space...true? I ususally like to bring water bottles, sunscreen, camera(and who knows if I"ll need pullups as a backup plan)?? Any thoughts or suggestions??

I personally felt like the strollers had ample room and last year we had one in diapers. This year shejust finished potty training and we too are worried about having to go while in line!

Some people feel the pouches on the back of the strollers don't hold much, but it held what we needed it too. We (dh, dd #1 and myself) all had fanny packs with stuff in it and we used the pouch for water bottles, snacks and hats.

Hello!

Welcome to the board. Here's my 2 cents. I would rent a double stroller for your 2 kids. It helps keep track of them and you can move from 1 place to another faster if everyone is contained and there will be no complaints about tired feet (from the kids at least).

Get a backpack. There isn't any storage room in the strollers, but I am not one to leave anything behind when we go on rides just for fear it will walk away, so that is not an issue with me. With a back pack you can carry everything in it very easily. If you don't have one and are going to purchase 1, get one with a small amount of pockets. At entrance to the parks you will have to open every single pocket for examination. If you limit the pockets you limit your time at security.

As far as leaving line for an emergency potty stop, people are pretty forgiving about exiting and re-entering.

Have fun!

We are going 9/24-9/30

on the backpack note, I got a MESH One at Wal Mart for roughly $3!! IT was in the camping section. I packed everything into zip lock bags, then tossed them in the mesh back pack (bag of first aid, bag for diapers & assessories, bag for autograph books and markers, bag of snacks, and my passporter, of course!)

We also bought (Roughly $2) water bottle holders that were a rubber gasket on a short woven lanyard attatched to a carabiener. We clipped the girls' to the canopy near their heads, then put ours in the pockets in the back. THere is not much room in the pockets, but we did fine...although we also had a double stroller with us! LOL! (3 kids 5 and under)

While we LOVED the ease of steering and the extra room the rentals had, we hated that we couldn't take them out of hte parks! SOmetimes the time you REALLY need it is going to and from the bus and your room!!

If we take our own stroller are we allowed to bring it on the disney buses and monrail?
It seems everyone rents and I'm wondering why not bring your own. Thanks

If you bring your own stroller you can bring it on all forms of Disney transportation. It must be folded and empty to go on the parking lot trams, buses and smaller boats.

Most people rent for older children. The strollers are in no way suitible for children under the age of 2, well except for MGM's, those are double jogging type. We've never rented a stroller and never needed one for our oldest.

When we were there in Oct. 2004, we found renting to be easier than bringing our own.
