I have a 2yr old DD- what should we take to the parks daily? We plan to buy our food there (maybe take a snack or two for DD). I will have a stroller to put things into, but we like to travel kind of light-
I was thinking sippy for dd, sunscreen, change of clothes, diapers and wipes, and antibacterial gel. Am I missing something else?

I would bring extra water so you don't have to wait in line to buy it or refill her sippy cup. And this may sound really frivolous, but those battery-powered mister fans came in really handy. My kids were 10 and 12 when we went and we loved those things! We also

ponchos are a great idea! I am sure we will need those! does anyone recommend where I can get one for DD who is 2? or where I can buy one that comes in a little bag to store?

I can't remember if we got our small ponchos at the dollar store or Target, but they were pretty cheap, either way.

what about your camera? and any extras you need to go with that...batteries, memory card

also don't forget: park tickets, key card to Disney resort (if staying on-site and planning to take advantage of EMHs or if you have the dining plan), and IDs for the adults

do you think your little one would be interested in pressed pennies or autographs (when Aly was almost 3, she was).

Pressed pennies: I like the Mini M&Ms canisters (do they even sell mini M&Ms anymore?), but an old film canister would work, too (just realized how out-of-date my advice is on this...lol...and I had to think really hard on the camera advice...we used to take extra film, video camera, extra tapes...lol). And what you do with these canisters is stack 2 quarters, 1 penny, over & over again (each penny costs 2 quarters and the penny you press).

Autograph book: gloved characters do better with fatter pens/markers/crayons. We liked to take about 4-5 crayons with us to have colorful signatures (red, blue, purple, green, orange). We used to buy the fat crayons from Walgreens when they'd go on sale for 39c a pack.

I always used to take a bandana or colorful ribbon to tie onto the stroller handle.

Thank you all for the great suggestions!I am so glad to have all these great ideas. Traveling and spending the day at the parks with a toddler needs so much planning!
