How long is your flight?

It will take you approx 2 hours from landing to arriving at the hotel. If you're going when there's a gymnastics or cheer competition, or pres weekend that can be upwards of 4 hours. (It's 45min - 1 hr from MCO to WDW)

If you're using Magical Express your luggage will arrive at your hotel room 3-5 hours after you land. So anything you think you'll need immediately pack in your carry on.

We like to arrive in MCO as early as possible on day 1(for us it's been 10:15 AM the past two years) and then leave in the early evening on the final day.

Our flight is about 2 hours non-stop. If we arrive before check-in time at the hotel and stay on-site, will they hold our luggage for us so we can explore a park? Same for check-out, if our flight isn't until evening?

Another thing to consider is the actual weekdays you'll be there. Tue-Thur are slower than the rest of the weekdays so try to make those full days if possible.

our flight is about two hours too...

I like to arrive early (like a noon-ish arrival time at MCO) and depart around 8pm. Remember that if you use Magical Express, you will be picked up at your resort around three hours prior to your departure time.

We like to hit a park when we arrive, and spend at least a half day at one on our last day. (my kids are much older though (15 and 11), and can handle the go, go, go!)

I want to hit parks on the arrival and departure days, too.

yes bell services will hold your luggage when you arrive if your room is not ready. ON departure day, they will also hold your carryons until you are ready to leave. Remember though, if you want to do resort airling luggage check in , you have to do that my 1pm or so. (we almost forgot this last trip!!)
