What is the best time to go ( least crowded)?

I've gone a couple of different times (for more than a day trip), and none of them were extremely crowded. These were in mid-January, end-May, mid-April. I think the most crowded time was in April, but that was because the last half of our trip coincided with the world dance and cheerleading championships. I would definitely suggest NOT going during that time.

I do know that if you want low crowd levels, you will want to stay away from holidays, such as July 4th, Memorial Day, Spring Break (which goes for a couple of weeks since Spring Breaks are different in different regions). I don't know about Christmas or Thanksgiving, as I've never been during those times.

Hope that helps some.

The past few years we have traveled in mid September and the parks have been empty! We have not had a stand-by wait of more than twenty minutes and have walked onto almost everything but the most popular/newest rides. We never have a problem getting fast passes for the most popular rides either (although we still hit these early in the AM.) I've also done both the beginning and end of October and the crowds are a little heavier but still very manageable. It seems the past few years to have gotten busier as the Food & Wine Festival has grown in popularity. My brother was there last year in early October and had much busier crowds than we did two weeks prior. DH and I did a trip in 2005 in mid-March and that was a nightmare! 120 minute waits for rides and fast passes were gone in early morning - we can't handle those crowds. As a kid we always traveled in the summer and I remember it being busy but can't give you tons of info on how busy/wait times ...

It might be more helpful if you would give a few dates that you are interested in going.

We are just trying to pick dates now. I would like to go at the least crowded times possible. It is also nice to know when to try to avoid.

I believe we are now looking at the end of January/first few days of February. Is there anything big I should avoid these dates for ie cheer competition etc?

I don't know if I can tell you when to go, but I can attest that the best times NOT to go would be the big holidays.
