Where to Buy...?

Weighing the pro's & con's of not having our own transportation and staying on site ...(and using the free Disney shuttle from the airport,)
- is there somewhere just outside (walking distance) Downtown Disney where we could purchase a case of bottled water to bring back to our hotel?
We drink a lot of water and I would not like to have to spend $2 a bottle (or more) in the park.

The only store I know of is Goodings, which is at the Crossroads (at the opposite end of DTD). If you are staying in a hotel on that end, you could probably walk it (although carrying a case of water might be a bit much!). Other than that, I can't think of anywhere that is within walking distance.
If you took a town car service (like Tiffany Town Car) instead of ME, they'll make a 1/2 hour grocery stop for you. We used them twice, and stopped at a Publix to pick up what we wanted for the week. It was very convenient!
Another option is to get those Brita water bottles with the filters, and fill them with tap water.
Or, perhaps you could ship a case of water to your resort before you arrive? I've heard of people shipping packages ahead of time. I never done it, but shipping a case of water would be cheaper than renting a car for a week.
Good luck!!

Aha! I like your Brita suggestion - that's what we'll do.
Thanks for that idea!

we are usibng wegoshop.com The nice lady there is picking up 2 cases of water, plus a bunch of other things for us and delivering it right to our hotel on property.
THere is a small fee, but we feel if it not only worth it, it is far less than we would spend on a car service or a taxi!!
