Where do I start?

Hello everyone,
My in laws have informed me that there is a family trip Walt Disney World in the works for next February. I am so excited, I have always wanted to go but at age 35 this will be my first time. My DH is looking forward to it too.
The group that is going will be 4 older adults (about 50ish), 6 adults (about 30-40ish), two preteens, 5 kids under 10. My family alone will be two adults, a 6 year old, a 5 year old, a 2 year old and a 7 month old. The majority wants to go for 7 days / 6 nights, but I am aiming for 10 days / 9 nights. I may lose that point though. We all do realize that while we love each other (most days), there will be times that we separate and do our own things.
So what I am wondering is, where do I even start? When booking things, can we get a better deal trying for a group rate? Do we qualify? The places are so huge. I really want the kids to have the best time possible. I have heard about the autograph books, is there a cost? Where do I get them? Do we have to bring our own pens? I did read that the click sharpies are the best is that still protocol? Is there room in them to add pictures later? Will they sign a 5x7 scrapbook? I did send for the dvd, but are there any other sites that have paper maps that I can send for? I want to stay on site, and because my kids are so young (one isn't even here yet) can you recommend one resort over the others? Where should I focus for my young kids? I don't really have a stroller, I usually put the babies in a backpack carrier. Is that ok for walking around or would I be better off finding a stroller for the baby?
I am so sorry for the clump of questions but I am really looking forward to this.

Liza,
Hi Liza~
This is the board to be with questions.
Congrats Liza on your upcoming trip! I'd be excited too - I've always thought a big group trip would be lots of fun!
