This is an extension of my other post (about planning or winging it). Someone said it was a really good idea to plan which ride to go for first at each park. What are your recommendations? I have a large group (9) with 4 adults and kids 9,8,7,4 & 3.

MK: Dumbo has come up as one to get to very early in the day or it's hopeless
AK: the safari ride for early in the day
MGM: ?
Epcot: ?

We just meandered around 4 years ago & rode rides here and there. Our girls were 2 and 5 and were only concerned with finding Princesses to get pictures with!!

Thanks again, ladies!

You're right on target with Dumbo at MK - that line can really build up quickly and it's very hard justifying a long wait for a 90 second ride LOL Other rides at MK that will usually have longer lines as the day goes on:

Val has pretty much hit our 'plan'. Dumbo is slow loading and doesn't have Fast Pass so we either do it during a morning EMH, during the afternoon parade or late at night.

I totally agree with Dumbo! Just do the math! There are only 16 elephants!! But since we usually open the park at least 2 days, Space Mountain or barnstormer depending on our arrival time.

AK either EE or Safari

MGM - not sure, TOT was our 1st ride of choice no our honeymoon, but hte last trip, we only spend 1/2 say here and most of that was spent at 50's PT and watchignthe parade.

EPCOT definately SOarin, then grab a fast pass for it on the way out, stand in line for Turtle Talk with Crush.

We are travelling with myself 36, DH 45, DD 6 DD5 and DS 2+ at time of travel.

On both of our trips, we have had great luck with EMH in the morning just heading to Fantasyland and riding at will for the first hour or two.

Wow! Thanks! I've got to write this stuff down in my Passporter book and forward all of these posts to my SIL. I knew you all would have great information. :c)
