Worry about tickets purchased from U.T.

Edited to say: I found out AK opened in late April 1998. So it's not an issue. Sorry for the post
I just spent almost $1000 on tickets from Undercover Tourist and the fine print on the tickets says "Not valid for special events or premium events or other activities which are separately priced or for any park commencing operations after May 1, 1998." Does this last part mean that the tickets aren't good at Animal Kingdom? I have no idea when it opened. The tickets are 10 day base tickets.

You found your answer about Animal Kingdom so I'll answer the rest.
What it means is that that ticket is good for park entrance during regular park hours (including extra magic hours if you are also a resort guest). The ticket is not good for events such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Night of Joy and any other closed park, hard ticket event.
