I would guess that the lower airfare is because not as many people are traveling for Christmas yet on the 20th; by the 22nd, they probably are.

The WDW site should give you a quote instantly, unless you're including airfare. I don't know how that works at all.

I also don't know of any places to stay nearby; I guess I'm really no help at all, but I'm sorry you've had a glitch!

I didn't get a quote instantly from Disney, idk why, but the email I got says 72 hrs.

When I get their email, I will put in a request to redo it with the check-in date of the 19th to see what the difference is.

OK, Check Continental Airlines flying out of Newark,NJ. I put in Dec 16-21. You can get a really great price if I'm reading it right. The closer to the holiday it costs more. I found one there for under 800.00 for ALL of you. leaving 10:30 am arriving 1:30 or there about. Go to continental airlines website put in

That is exactly what I found. for flying out the 22nd of December returning 29th, it was over 2,600 for 5 people. If they fly Dec 16th, and return 21 I found one for 708.00 ALL travlers.

That's odd. I went to the DW site last night and just now and am getting instant quotes. I also haven't had a problem with the TA website. I do know that they are upgrading their ME system and servers so I still can't access that information.

Well, you saw what I found. The price went up considerably on Dec 19th. Newark Airport is nice. We are using this AviStar service. We just reserved yesterday. You bring your car there, they park it, get you on their shuttle bus and drop you off at the terminal. It will be like 125.00 for the week, something in that ballpark. The long term parking there is more expensive like 25.00 a day. There are also nearby hotels you can spend the night at who have free shuttle service to the airport. Continental was the ONLY airline I found to give reduced prices according to age. We are only paying 174.00 RT for our 9 year old grandson.

Without looking at other responses and not knowing exactly where you are (and not looking at your specific dates). Have you looked into flying from Allentown on Allegiant Air? It doesn't fly into MCO but since you are renting a van and not using Magical Express it might save you a lot of money. It's been a few years since I've flown into Sanford, but it was a beautiful airport then (and rental cars are literally across the street, no bus to get a car). Again, not knowing where you are, but we are flying from Newburgh, NY on Jet Blue at a LOT less than flying from Philly or Newark.

And, you're right - Philly to Tampa, can't beat Southwest!
