Yippee! Going back again this year!

I was slightly active on this board last year before our trip in April, so I don't know if anyone remembers me or not (no problem if you don't, lol), but I just had to come back and say that we are going back to Disney World this year!!!!! We are aiming for (and will probably book this weekend) the beginning of May. I'm so excited. Ever since our trip ended last year I have been wanting to go back, and I finally convinced DH that we should go back this year. I thought he didn't really want to go, but when I started bringing it up this past week, and mentioning some of the deals they are offering (such as the free Gift Card), he started to get a bit more interested. So the other night we sat down to look at the resorts and pick the one we wanted to stay at and he started to get excited about going. Granted, not nearly as excited as I am about it, but excited nonetheless. It will be me, DH, my Mom, and our new baby (he will be 7 months old when we go). We are going to be staying at the Contemporary Resort (we decided to stay here since it seems to be less 'themed', and we want to save the more 'themed' resorts for when DS is older and will know/remember the trip), in the Tower section, for 6 days/5 nights (unless I can squeeze an extra day out of him, lol). I am also more excited because I priced the trip using the Gift Card promotion pricing and the Florida Resident pricing (we actually live in Orlando, about 45 minutes away from Disney, lol, but we still stay on property when we go), and by living in Florida, we will save over $1200!!!!! So that is the route we are going to go as far as booking the trip. We won't get the Gift Card, but we will save more money than the Gift Card is worth, so it is a better deal.

I can't wait! I am going to try to make Disney a once a year thing for us. As soon as we get this trip paid off, I am going to start saving for next year!

Thank you for responding about when you took your DD! That puts my mind at ease a bit more about taking DS. He will have just turned 7 months when we go (if we go when have planned). Do you have any insight about how to do things with an infant at Disney? The last time we went I was pg with him, so it was rather easy taking him every where, lol. I know that we won't be able to stay in the parks nearly as long or do every thing that we may want to do, since he will need naps, bottles, etc. We are going for 6 days, and we live here in Orlando, so it isn't THAT big of a deal if we don't get to do everything (I can always take a day trip to a park if I want!), but I guess having more of a plan this time will be a big help. The other times we have been have been more of a wing-it type thing. I'm really hoping that DS is on more of a regular schedule by then (he's 3 months now and sort of has a schedule, but it isn't always the same every day, lol). Ok, I'll stop rambling now...I'm so darn excited!

OMG, I'm just thinking how cute it would be to get a picture of Mickey holding your little guy!

Hmmm, I don't know if they would or not. But I will sure try. And I'll definitely try to get a pic of him with Stitch! Stitch is my favorite character, so I HAVE to have a pic of that. Plus, last year when we went, I got a pic of Stitch pointing to my belly because DS was in there at the time. So maybe this time, I'll hold DS and have Stitch pointing to him, lol.
