We went to see Cars 2 over the weekend, and this trailer was *not* attached to it as I've been reading it was supposed to be.

The animation in the movie looks amazing!

It's hard to get really excited when there's not much information on the film out yet. I wanted to know more about the story! I hope Pixar can redeem itself with Brave. I was not at all impressed with Cars 2. It just seemed like it should have gone direct to DVD, kind of like the short, Mater's Ghost Light.

We saw Cars 2 this weekend and got to enjoy the little teaser for Brave (I'm very intrigued!) and we loved the Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation video - so cute!

I was not really looking forward to seeing Cars 2 - although I liked the animation of the orginal movie, it's a favorite of both the girls and my DH who is a big NASCAR fan. So they all wanted to see Cars 2 and I was going b/c it was Disney :) and I expected it to be as you said, one of those sequels that go direct to DVD. I actually really enjoyed it! There were a lot of inside "jokes" to look for, the spy stuff was exciting to me (and I don't normally go for that kind of movie at all), and I really enjoyed Mater's character in this one. I don't think it had to be in 3D (it seems EVERY movie has to be in 3D these days and that drives me nuts ... and broke!). The girls keep asking to see it again LOL

I agree with you about the 3D stuff! We saw Cars 2 at the drive-in, so it wasn't in 3D. I wonder if they will do a 3D movie there...hmmmm.... I don't see why not, unless they're worried about not getting the glasses back? I'm not certain, but I think I remember going to the drive-in as a child, and they were handing out those red/blue paper glasses.

We didn't see Cars2 in 3D either and I don't feel like we missed anything but seeing the regular format.

Aw, wish we had a drive-in near us! I still have some happy memories of seeing a few movies at the drive-in when I was a kid. And then seeing the big screens from the highway as we would drive home from my grandparents' house in NJ to my house in Brooklyn :)

You know, I do agree about the violence, especially since these were "guns" and "bombs" and such.

Although I do remember popping in my VHS tape of Snow White when Clara was little so we could watch together and then shutting it off b/c I thought it was just too scary for her to watch. Sad!

Melissa, Winnie the Pooh is coming out soon - perfect for you guys!
