We just got back from a week on Chincoteague Island, Virginia - it was really neat.

We used to vacation there when I was REALLY little, (age 4 and under) and I still remember it, barely! If you have little ones that you homeschool you could easily tie in Marguerite Henry's books. they are based on true stories about a pony named Misty (who was stuffed and on display when I was little). There is even a movie based on the first book. Even if you don't homeschool, you might want to pick them up and enjoy a children's book yourself - I just bought the set at Goodwill for under $4 and can't wait to dive into it, to relive those vacations!

Hi Heather, I read Marguerite Henry's books many, many, many years ago when I was in school. I loved reading her stories about the ponies and her other horse books....I was a horse lover.
