My family and I love this park! The one piece of advice, make on line reservations!!!!!!!!! You can make them for both the campground and the cave tours, and really are needed in teh summer and during long weekends. And if I remember right, you canfish in the river there without a license!

I agree! Mammoth Cave is a "must see"! There are other caves close by that are worth touring, also, Crystal cave comes to mind.

This is a very impressive cave with tours of different lengths for those who want a shorter or longer tour. The cave is well lit. Be sure to take a jacket, even in the summer. I think the cave is at a constant 45 degree temperature year round. I'm not sure if they can accomodate handicapped individuals, perhaps the web site would give some insight to those concerns.

there are easy a half dozen caves operated right by the park that are privately owned. We have done the Onyx and Crystal Onyx, When you get into the area you can get brochures on tons of caves. The campgroup at the park is very nice too, but get a reservation on line first, they are often full.
