I'm not quite sure what happened, but then, I'm not the most techno-savvy person you might run into.....so I figured the least I can do is put the rest of the info out there for you all. This does sound like a great place to visit if it is in any way nearby where you live. Sooooo.....read on for the rest of the story!!

board and water slides provide great entertainment. Click here for more information on the rates for Petit Jean’s Public Pool. The swimming pool may be rented for private parties after normal closing hours (no rental after dark). Lifeguards will be furnished by the park. To reserve a pool party, please call 501-727-5441.

Picnic: Enjoy a relaxing picnic year round, at a table overlooking the lake or near the playground. Petit Jean provides wooded picnic areas along Lake Bailey and Roosevelt with tables, grills, water and rest rooms. Two group pavilions are available for rent April to October. The Recreation Hall, located near the Visitor's Center, can also be rented for group gatherings. The pavilions and Rec Hall should be reserved in advance by calling 501-727-5441.

Playground: Two playgrounds at Petit Jean offer a retreat for children and young at heart. One is located at the cabin area near Mather Lodge, the other in the picnic area.

Fishing: Lake Bailey, atop Petit Jean Mountain, provides 100 acres of fishing enjoyment. Lakes Bailey and Roosevelt are home to many varieties of fish. Guests are welcome to rent a boat during the summer months, or bring your own year round (10 horsepower motor limit). Click here for more information on boat rentals at Petit Jean. Fishing is also popular from the shore or from the ADA accessible fishing pier, providing easy access to the 100 acre Lake Bailey.

Other Attractions: Petit Jean also features unlighted tennis courts, a volleyball net, and playing ballfield near the public pool.

Gift Shops: While visiting Petit Jean State Park, stop by one of our two gift shops for your buying needs. One is centrally located inside Mather Lodge. A second, larger gift shop, is located at the Visitor's Information Center, where you can also view exhibits on the park's history, natural science, and geology.

Swimmers at Petit Jean State Park relax and play in the recently renovated swimming pool.Nearby Facilities: Picnic and grocery supplies, a snack bar, firewood, horseback riding, and arts and crafts are located near the park. The Museum of Automobiles, a sure stop for car lovers, is a privately owned antique and classic autos museum, located just outside the park. (Some facilities are open seasonally only). The Petit Jean Airport is open for daytime flying only.

The same thing happened to me a couple of days ago, when I tried to "piece together" something to post.
