Where are you guys roadtripping this summer? I'm trying to find somewhere to go, I'm in the mid-atlantic region. Right now I'm doing some work for Lexus Magazine, and they have some suggestions for the Outer Banks and the Smokey Mountains - have you guys tried camping at either of these places? What's it like?

Welcome to the Camping and Outdoor Activities board.
We love the Smoky Mountains. We stay near Townsend. I believe they have a local history museum in Townsend. There are still old homesteads all over that you can visit which was really interesting. We love hiking around all of those gorgeous crystal clear babbling brooks and waterfalls too.

Thanks for the welcome! I usually just use a tent. I've camped the most in Texas (where I'm from originally), but I went in Shenandoah National Park this past fall and loved it! My favorite activities when I'm camping are definitely hiking and campfire talk/smore making!
What about yours? Your Colorado trip sounds like fun! I've only been skiing in CO, but have never camped!
I've heard the smokey mountains are awesome! did you do the any of the places the article mentions?
I can't wait to go there and check it out!
