How do you handle your kids’ Halloween candy bounty? Do you limit how much they can eat each day? Do you take your favorites out of their stash, like a tax?

lol @ taxing the kids - I can totally see me and DH doing that! As long as we tell them we're just looking through the candy to make sure it's all safe they probably wouldn't even notice...then again, some kids just "know" how many candy bars they got!

Growing up I was always limited to how much I could eat each day, and we always had to ask permission. (We had to ask permission to do just about everything!) I'm sure I'll have the same methodology with my kids, even though I SWORE I'd never be like my mother. lol

For my 3, we let them have a piece after dinner and if they pack lunch, they can have a piece of candy. It also makes very good bribery when wanting them to clean their room. ;) I do have a horrible sweet tooth and find myself raiding the candy more than I should. :D

LOL! Sneakiness usually works, especially if you wait for a few days. There are probably lots of things you'll end up doing.. just like your mother ;)

Those are good strategies! I'm not normally a candy person, but it's hard not to dive into it when it's sitting there in front of you.
