I wonder if prices will go up or down for airfare much between now and Thanksgiving. Is it too early to start thinking about how you're going to get to spend the holiday with family? Or which branch of the family you might spend it at?

Do you have to rival with

Our 4th is due before Thanksgiving so I have a hunch that Thanksgiving will be at our house this year! ;) I was just thinking the other day (as I put my autumn leaves placemats on the table in hopes that Fall hurries up) that I should start planning my menu and as Oct rolls in, I should probably start getting items like a frozen turkey or canned foods, etc so it's one less thing to worry about. :) Let's face it, sweet potatoes in a can are easier to cook with with one hand than fresh ones. :P

Does anyone try recipes from time to time throughout the year just for the holidays? Earlier this year, I came across a new Sweet Potato recipe and than a Corn Pudding recipe and I made each of them with different dinners to see what the feedback was. We kept the new corn pudding recipe but decided to stick with the old sweet potatoes. ;) I also discovered a receipe for stuffing covered chicken with chicken gravy...can I just say, it tastes like Thanksgiving everytime I make it. It's a family favorite!!

That's a great idea, Tammy!

Feel free to start a recipe thread and share the recipes you've tried and might make again for which ever holidays :) I'm with Lynn in that I love to try new recipes!
