Keep in mind it really should be a heart, but I only had star, Christmas tree, and gingerbread shaped silicon molds and didn't want to go out and buy heart ones just for this, lol.

Take old (or new, I used both since I was trying to use purple, pink, white, and red) and remove label. Break into pieces. The smaller the better. Put into silicon mold.

That's a really cute idea! I have some cheap non-stick molds that are metal that my SIL got me one year, I'll have to remember this next year at Christmas.

That is so cute! I found a silicone mold with heart shapes at Goodwill one year for $0.99 - big score! But like a dork I tried melting the crayons in a double boiler and pouring the into the mold to harden. I don't know why I didn't think to melt them in the mold. It took forever that way. I definitely won't make that mistake again!

What a great idea!  I can't see the image, but I really want to do this.  How do you melt the crayons down?  Do you just put the broken crayons into the mold and then heat it?
