No but my family does Letterboxing. A lot more low tech but we enjoy it. Check out www.atlasquest.com to find out more.

We have done some geocaching, letterboxing, and tons of orienteering. While letterboxing and orienteering are more low-tec, geocaching is cool for the boys because it's more high tech... like a video game. Just be aware that the GPS units can be off by maybe 15 or 20 feet. So when you "are at the spot" you have to look around and pay attention to a clue if it's provided... the one that I had the hardest time with was in the woods and the GPS pinpointed a spot on top of a little mound of dirt, but the clue was under the fallen tree... about 5-6 fallen trees were in the area so it took a bit of time to locate the hidden box under one of the fallen trees. Good Luck... you will have fun!

More fun for you then... you will love how the boys respond to the "treasure hunt" feel of the activity. Be sure to tell us about it when you are finished. I know that our Girl scout council holds several events a year that girls can go to and everyone seems to love it as well... youngest to oldest.
