I have started using to track my son and so far, it's pretty amazing.  It's free for 1 scout to keep track of his own advancement and such or for a parent of a younger scout to keep track... starting at Tiger and going through graduating to adult!  There's also placed to keep track of camping, service projects, merit badges, and all kinds of other stuff is being added.

Scoutbook also has a very inexpensive family plan- which I'm doing the trial membership for right now- so I can track up to 5 scouts in my family at any level- and share access to certain parts for marking off advancement with scoutmasters/merit badge counselors/other parent... and it's portable- computers, i pads, phones, etc... so you can track on the go.  And they just came out with plans for dens, packs, patrols, and troops.  It's quite visual in that it shows images of stuff that's already earned and percentages of what's done in stuff you are working on.  And it has the ability to put in photos and videos and such so you can prove to leaders and counselors that you have completed requirements.

They are working with nationals on making it compatible for reporting advancement to council.

So, go check it out everyone!!!
