Yesterday (17th)- I spent 3 hours at Joanne Fabrics with 5 girls, 1 mom, and 1 lady who is basically our "instructor".

It doesn't end, does it? Are the girls hand quilting it all or doing some machine quilting?

We got the t-shirt orders started this week. I'm only several months behind on that. The first wave of orders came in. I'm sure the rest will need to be chased down.

They are doing most with machine quilting... but it is embroidery by hand... so still lots of finger work.

Yesterday was a full moon, I think... the lady from the women's shelter didn't show... I walked down and found out she was in a crisis meeting.

It sounds like you had a nightmare of a day. Sorry.

I got a chuckle out of your being happy about the snow day. My friend was really hoping today would be a snow day. Her schedule is packed AND she works full time. It's a good thing she is high energy and doesn't need sleep.

D's Tiger Den meeting was last night. I planned to go over the food pyramid, eat dinner (each boy brought something for dinner from a different area of the pyramid), and then have the boys build their own pyramid. The kids came in starved & then the last family arrived and they had chicken. That did it. The kids couldn't think they were so hungry. lol. We ate first and then got down to the learning part. lol.

I like how you had them all bring part of dinner! Great idea. We had a mom who was a nutritionist and she had all kinds of age appropriate papers like find and circle all the veggies (pictures) that our little boys loved doing!

Oh, and I got the Tiger Dad to pick a date that works for the firestation tour... it was the urging that we really don't need the fire chief there and that he could just do it himself that made it work. We do that Saturday.

Our Tiger Den needs to get the last two parents who have not planned anything to step up. It's time.

Glad you get to go to the quilting program.

Our derby is still hanging over my head. I'd be glad to have it finished. Actually, most everything is in place. We just need to devote the day to it and get it over. Do you have a stand pattern or picture? I'd be interested in seeing what you did.

I didn't have a single girl ask my to buy cookies. Jack said he bought some at work. My neice is still having her sales, but she hasn't called. I told my mom I wouldn't buy any until she called. I'm ok with parents selling at work, but I think it is crazy for parents to be calling people instead of the scout.

WTG on being a Merit Badge Counslor. I looked at the list of badges and I don't think I am good for any of them. Then I felt depressed...
