Looks like what I am seeing on the news - most of us here are in areas getting hammered.

Luckily we only had a 2 hour delay. It was a mixture of delayed districts and closed districts here. But at school today, they had the cakewalk... families made or bought cakes. Then the kids brought quarters and paid chances to sit in numbered chairs, hoping their number would be called. All the money will be donated to a mission in Peru. We've been helping this one place for years. But the cakewalk is a yummy way to do it! And for the 2nd year in a row, there were enough cakes donated that each kid went home with a cake! (I've got 3 here waiting to be eaten for dinner!)

Hope you stayed warm at home today! We've got ice around, but the roads all seem to be just wet (for now).

How is everything going today? We're still getting hit by the blizzard. The blizzard warning for our area is in effect until 3PM. They've declared a state of emergency and are asking people to stay off the roads. The kids and dogs are having a great time in the snow, though!

The cake walk sounds like fun. I've not been to one of those for years. :)

Hi Jen -

We are on Day 2 of no school. Freezing rain again last night. Quite a few places without pawer. We are lucky to still have it at our house. I *think* school was cancelled because the power is out in some of the areas.

That 22+ inches of snow does sound terrible.

Sorry to hear Sean is feeling bad. D's teacher sent a note home yesterday reminding parents to keep sick kids home.

ugh about the basement flooding. We had that issue with one of our homes. It brought me to tears several times.

Have fun at the race :)
