I can't imagine having enough kids to have a second den. As it is, we've never had 2 active webelos dens at the same time as long as I've been around... webelos II's have always kinda quit before they are really done... in fact, our current 4th graders have been the big boys, the example to set, since the beginning of 3rd grade! So, in another month, we will finally move to webelos II and our bears will move to webelos- so maybe we can do some stuff together.

So, good luck with your tigers! We have 3 total boys in tigers and 3 total boys in wolfs this past year.

We had 2 Webelos 2 dens for J's age group. One group for the year ahead and 1 group for the year behind. We never did anything together. I tried inviting all of the Webelos to activities, but they would never show. None of the other leaders were interested in planning anything for all of the boys. This past year I have been trying to have more specialty meetings that apply to certain age groups ie Whitting Chip themed meetings for Webelos to review skills and for the Bears to learn the skills. They still don't work the way I would like them to, but some families take advantage of them & that is good :)

We have two bear dens and when they were wolves, there were three dens. Enough boys dropped out that they merged to two. I imagine when they move to Webelos 1 that they might merge to one den as I think that is what they currently have. Our pack is pretty large though, so they might have two.

Last year our pack didn't do a whole lot in the summer outside of daycamp. We will have a new cub master though, so he might want to do a few more things. We'll have to just wait and see but it sounds like you all have some good things planned.
