Do your groups do any projects for Valentine's Day?

We don't have a scout Valentine celebration.

I do coordinate parties at the kids' school. This year the 5th grade will have a dj, 10 game stations, and a snack stand. The 1st grade party isn't planned yet. I'm guessing there will be 2 crafts, 2 games, & snack. If they need a game I will send in Valentine BINGO that I printed from the dltk website or I will send in a beanbag toss. I have a big melmane heart bowl I picked up at Target last year. The kids will play bean bag toss with it. The bean bags are the $1.00 a pair Valentine socks from Target. I filled them with rice & tied the ends in a knot. :)

Last Year DD #2's troop had a "Daisy Tea Party" at Valentine's Day. They were Juniors at the time. They invited several Daisy troops to this little cottage that can be rented out for parties. They played games, did some crafts then had "tea" (read pink lemonade) with GS gorp, cookies, and cupcakes. We even used real china teacups.

This year, they want to do it again, but since we cannot get it together by Valentines, (we're working on Thinking Day instead) we're going to do a Mother/Daughter Tea around Mother's Day.

That sounds like a lot of fun! I think my son's class is doing a Valentine's Day party at school. I've been waiting for something to be sent home about volunteering. I love going to the in-class parties!

I only remember doing one project during scouts for Valentine's Day. It was just a small craft project. I don't remember much about it except it involved painting wooden hearts.

A tea party is such a great idea! I love that you used real china tea cups. I'll bet the girls loved it.

I don't think any of my groups will be doing anything this year.
