So, I asked the girls to turn their order in last Friday because I was busy Mon-Tue-Wed of this week.

Wow that would really frustrate me too.

In the frequently relevant (to so many debates on Ivillage) words of Inigio Montoya from The Princess Bride "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

We take e-mail orders too, but insist that they get the original to us as well by our meeting following the order due date. That way, when the cookies arrive and are distributed to the girls, they haven't lost the order form.

I'm not sure how our sale went yet. I think most girls got their orders to our cookie person. Orders were due yesterday. I have no idea around how many were sold. I should be able to find out by this weekend... Friday is when they must all be entered online. I LOVE that I don't have to worry about this at all... I just set up the booth sales times and she takes care of everything else!

I feel badly for your own daughter. She probably thinks it's her fault. Don't be grumpy with her. If you must, just put in the pre-order for the girls who got theirs to you in a timely manner and tell the girl that since she was late, you will have to get her cookie order from the cookie cupboard or after you are done with your booth sale. Perhaps if you make her wait, she will not be late next time.

Last year, we had 2 families who didn't turn in orders until after they were due on the system. We just told them that we *should* be able to fulfill their orders after our booth sale that first weekend, but they would have to wait until after our cookie mom replenished the supply of cookies we had sold out of our own orders. And she's a working mom, so it was going to be on her time- not the day the office opened with the cookie cupboard. They learned their lesson and were on time the next sale.

Have Patience and Firmness in whatever you decide to do. There is no reason to stress over it. Stress will only harm you.

Wow, I wouldn't have even thought of calling the school. And yes, your troop should provide a box of cookies for the secretary... not you!
