Question about Flag Ceremony at Bridging

Am I right or wrong in thinking that for the closing ceremony you do not recite the Pledge of Allegiance??

I am thinking that that is in the opening but not the closing...

My troop is doing the closing and this is what I have for it: (let me know if anything is incorrect, please)

The lines for the Girl Scout In Charge ~

"Girl Scouts, Attention"

"Color Guard, Advance"

"Color Guard, Retire the Colors"

"Color Guard, Dismissed"

We won't be doing any poems or Taps or anything like that, just keeping it simple.

That sounds right.

I usually use the following calls:

Girl Scouts Attention

Color Guard Attention

Color Guard Advance

Color Guard Salute the Colors

Color Guard Retire the Colors

Color Guard Dismissed

Girl Scouts Dismissed

The salute we do is just putting our hands on our hearts and looking at the flag, but I think its optional and what you have sounds great.

If you're not singing Taps the only thing missing is "color Gaurd attention" after you rbring the Girl Scouts to attention It's their cue to really stop wiggling. LOL We do a salute as well, but it's not needed. Some girls from my service unit did the opening and closing ceremony for our annual meeting a few weekends ago and I had them practicing with the pledge, GS Promise & Tap in the right places and when we got there the lady who usually does it said Oh no we don't do it that way, and by the way the way we do it is this.... argh! completly different then how my girls had practiced and then how I had EVER seen a flag ceremony but the girls did well with change and did a great job. Yours will do a great job too.
