which tryits are good for home

I am sifting all the info on try-its and found a couple

right off the bat that would be good to complete at home and

then show us what they did to prove the meet the goals. Just

seeing which ones others think are good to be done individually.

The three that I can think of off the top of my head without looking through the book would be Computer Smarts, Point, Click, and Go, and All In The Family. HTH ~ Lynn

Ooooo Ooooo! I made a list! I went through the book and looked at each one. My list is broken down into those I want to do in Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 (based on which I think are geared towards older girls). Then my fourth category is: those I recommend for home. EITHER because I dislike them, OR just feel they are more challenging to implement with a group v. an individual OR there are so many that I can't wait to do as a troop that are more active and fun, and these are the leftovers. Unfortunately, i can't really tell you which is which without reading them again, so I'll just give you the list I came up with: Careers, Eat Right Stay Healthy, Hobbies, Penny Power, Safety Sense, Write Away, All in the Family, Manners, People are Talking, Travel Right, Math Fun, Computer Smarts, Creative Composing, Listening to the Past, Point Click and Go.

I think I'll see if my dd wants to earn Travel Right and maybe Computer Smarts this summer, but I'm not going to push her (as my mother pushed me!)

Now that I think about it, we are LUCKY to have so many to choose from, more than we could possibly earn in three years. IMHO some of these are easier with a large group than others, but MOST are well suited to home use. THUS my backwards approach where the ones for home are the 'leftovers'. IF any parents ask me for it, I will give them this list, that way they won't choose ones we are planning to do as a troop. In year three my HOME list will get longer as we narrow down which ones we will actually do as a troop!

I agree with the above idea's but my daughter also earned the animal try-it at home with a little creativeness on the tasks to be completed Tina
