What are some of your favorite fundraising ideas?

Our fundraising group was thinking about doing an event (I forget what it's called) with different local restaurants.

I just found this board but my Girl Scout troop is in the process of trying to raise money for a trip to Europe in 2013 so we have been doing a TON of fundraising. Here are some that we have done:
We are doing the flamingo flocking. By far this has been our most successful fundraiser. If you aren't sure what it is, just google it and you will find all you need to know.

We've done a roller skating party fundraiser- somewhat successful but also fun and we'll do it again.

We did a GS badge fair- where we gathered up all the supplies and ran GS troops through three badges. This was a lot of work and we didn't make that much $. Won't do it again.

Car Wash- we didn't make much $ on this one and if it weren't for my friends and family coming out to support us we probably wouldn't have made any at all. Plus it was hot and a lot of work.

Garage Sale- also a lot of work but we did halfway decently and we will do it again this coming summer. One tip is to ask friends and co-workers if they have any items they'd like to donate. This worked out really well for us.

We are next doing a babysitting event for Christmas shoppers on two friday nights in December. We will watch kids for three hours each time, they have to be potty trained and we are charging $20 for the first child and $10 for each child after that in the same family. I hope we do well but the nice thing is there really are no costs associated with it outside of providing a light snack.

One other idea we may still do is gift wrapping at the mall for donations. We'll see.
