He doesn't normally go far - about 10 minutes to work and 10 minutes back. Is that going to interfere with our plans to have a boy? I know it's best to keep those fellas cool. What do you think?
Have you decided if you are going to do any supplements or diet stuff yet?
Whew! He would stop biking in if I said he had to, but he would NOT be happy about it!
Yes, I've gotten the supplements and started on them. I tried the diet for a week, but I quit it yesterday. I don't think I can handle the "no dairy" part. I'm addicted to milk! I seriously can't get enough of it all day long. When I couldn't drink milk I started eating junk instead, and I'm not normally a junk food person. I was sick to my stomach all weekend, and DH blamed the diet and strongly recommended I skip it and stick to the supplements. (He also tried looking it up online and didn't find any substantive evidence that the diet works at all.) So that's what I'm doing now, although I'm worried I'll be upset with myself later if we get another girl.
So if you know of anything beyond "two small, unnamed studies in the 1980s" that give any evidence of the diet working, I'll be happy to hear about it and might give it another shot. Otherwise, I'm sticking with the supplements, the pH factor, and Shettles timing, and just hoping for the best. If only milk wasn't so darned good!
I know that if we decide to have #3 I won't worry about the diet stuff either.
I think the hardest part of GD is not gender disappointment (at least for me, I really truly wanted kids, any gender would do just fine) its the dealing with the fact that you "failed" the experiment. Its like finding out you failed the final exam in the hardest class you ever took in college, even though you studied for like 80 hours. I know for me, I couldn't even deal with an A- in college. I seriously cried when I got one and it ruined my college 4.0 GPA. ( Funny now, I could care less what grade I got.)
So do not beat yourself up about this, just try to relax and have fun, isn't that what sex should really be about?
