Just thought I"d introduce myself. I have 2 boys (3 years and 9 months) and am planning on TTC a girl sometime in 2008 - probably not for a while, though, since I"m still breastfeeding my second son, and plan on doing so till he's at least a year old. Once I've weaned him I'm hoping to chart for a couple of cycles then do Shettles/change pH with diet/supps etc...hopefully. In the meantime I'm researching madly (and trying not to obsess ;-) )
I'm pretty sure both my boys were conceived on O day, so I'm thinking a 2-3 day cut off would be a good plan to start with. I'm interested in testing our pH too...so will investigate that. I'm not so keen on some of the other stuff, like douching (worried about possible infections/problems)or TBM (kinda freaks me out - not that I'm passing judgement on anyone who does it, of course...it's just not for me.)
ANyway, I'm looking forward to chatting with you girls here (I'm also over at in-gender.com)and learning lots from all your advice :-)
At the moment, I'm a bit puzzled about a couple of things: firstly, I understand the concept of the acidifying diet, in terms of altering your pH, but I'm a bit confused about the whole Calcium/Magnesium vs Sodium/Potassium thing...can anyone shed any light on this?
I'm also a bit confused to read stuff that says that when TTC a girl you're aiming to have less or no EWCM - I thought it was absolutely necessary to conceive?
Cheers, and best wishes,
