trying for a girl and a question

We have identical twin boys who will be three soon, and we plan to begin ttc in July. Since I was told my twins were boys I have hoped this baby would be a girl, but I have been additionally motivated by my sister's recent announcement that she is expecting boy #3. Now my parents are really hoping I produce a granddaughter for them.
I have been doing a lot of research on the topic. I have begun charting my cycles and taking supplements and changing my diet. But I have no idea where to buy pH strips or a pH meter that I could use. Where did you get yours? Also, I keep reading about drinking crystal light. How does this help? Does it matter what flavor of crystal light?
Also - any advice or ideas would be great.
Hi! Welcome to the board. I bought my pH strips from Amazon. They came in a small bottle with the color match chart, so you have to do the matching yourself, but it's pretty easy. I think they were about $10 for 60 or 90. I tested my own CF, my DH's semen, and our fluids mixed together after BD.
I'm not sure about Crystal Light, although I have heard of others using it as well. You can read up on more tips for swaying from the site www.ingender.com
The biggest factor for swaying is timing. For a girl, you want to have intercourse as far from ovulation as possible while still leaving a chance for conception. For most, it is 3 or 4 days from O. I highly recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility; it teaches you how to chart your cycles so you know what your body is doing and then you'll be able to time for a specific gender. There is also a chapter that summarizes the Shettles method. I have TCOYF and Shettles' book, but I think her info is just as good as his.
Good luck!
