We're a combo family. My first two I breastfed exclusively, but I went into the hospital for two months when my third was four months old, so he was bottle fed for a while. After that we kept doing both; then I had to stop bfing completely because of the medication I started. It turns out that DS3 is lactose intolerant, anyway, so I would have to stop bfing regardless. Anyway, I'll have to stop that medication when I get pregnant again, so I'll stay off it and bf and pump until I feel I need to go back on -- hopefully at least a year. The bottle feeding is also nice because DH gets to spend some Quality Bonding Time with the baby, and I can get out for a few hours without worrying that the baby won't take a bottle.
