Caffeine during pregnancy?

I think I feel comfortable cutting out all caffeine during PG, yet I keep hearing mixed advice about it. My mom continued to have a cup of coffee every day and we turned out fine!

I had caffeine while BF, but it really depends on your baby. From what I've seen, most people try a little caffeine and then see how it affects the baby. I always tried to drink my cup of coffee right after nursing/pumping to minimize the amount of caffeine still in my system when it was time to nurse/pump again. If you have a good milk supply, you can pump and dump if you have too much coffee, and then feed your baby stored milk.

I am sure I will need plenty of coffee with a baby once born though - can you drink caffeine while breastfeeding?!
I will cut out coffee 100%.
Jules: I am sure it will be tough for me too! I think I will have caffeine, alcohol and hot baths whenever I get my periods during TTC! :)
I'm the WORST person to ask about this.

When I got pregnant with DS, my plan was to only drink de-caf tea (I don't drink coffee or pop but have 2-3 teas a day) for the first trimester and the have an occasional cup of real tea after that.

Well I had 2 cups of coffee yesterday, and 2 cups of tea, and 3 chocolate chip cookies .... but who's counting? lol
I blame wedding planning. I need all the sugar and caffeine I can get right now!
